Classes are generally held in the morning from 9.00 am. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes. The School reserves the right to organize courses also in the afternoon in case of unavailability of classrooms or other concomitant lessons in the morning.
Every Monday morning, the course starts with a placement test.
On the basis of the results of the test, the School will operate in a totally discretionary and autonomous way the composition of the classes according to the different levels.
In the rare event that there is only one student per class, the 4 group lessons per day will be halved and transformed into individual lessons (from 4 per day to 2). If there are only 2 students per class at a given level, the number of lessons will be reduced from 4 to 3.
The additional lessons of the Combined Courses are normally held on an individual basis unless, in the case of particular attendance and a high number of students within the school, it is necessary to organize small afternoon groups (homogeneous in terms of knowledge of the language) of 3 - 4 students whose lessons will generally begin from 1.30 pm.
On 15 August (Ferragosto, a public holiday in Italy) the school is closed.
The booking fee of €150 cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
Italiano in Riviera does not have its own accommodation but acts as an intermediary between students and owners of apartments and families who decide to host the same students of the School.
Once you arrive in Alghero it is not possible, after making the reservation, to change the type of travel and accommodation previously chosen.
The School undertakes to carry out a selection action within the offer of accommodation always trying to ensure the best conditions for the students themselves but cannot be held in any way responsible in case of disputes between the two parties (event never occurred so far).
It is not possible at all, especially during the summer period and especially during the busy months of July and August, to ask to change accommodation once it has been assigned to the students.
All students are required to pay a deposit of € 100 (to guarantee any damage) at the beginning of their stay in Sardinia.
The students themselves are required to keep their room and the shared parts of the apartment tidy and clean. At the end of the stay, the hotelier will return the entire deposit, unless he has to retain it as compensation in case of failure to take care of their accommodation and damage to the interior or objects of the same.
The day of arrival in the accommodation is the Sunday before the Monday of the beginning of the courses. The day you have to leave the accommodation is Saturday (the day after the end of the lessons, which is Friday).
In case of arrivals in Alghero after 9:00 pm, a supplement of 25 euros must be paid. In case of arrivals after 11:00 pm, a supplement of 50 euros must be paid.
In agreement with the School, arrival and departure are also possible on days other than those established. In these cases, a fee of between 40 and 55 euros (depending on the period) must be paid for each extra day spent in the accommodation.
The payment of the balance of the course must be made by bank transfer before the start date of the courses or by credit card no later than the first day of class.
The School does not own accommodation in Alghero, which is always owned by individuals who are not part of the school itself. Payment for accommodation (with the discounted rates published on the prices page) must therefore be made in cash no later than the first day of class.
