Visiting a new country is a great experience that you will remember for the rest of your life, so we want to make sure that you can enjoy your stay to the fullest. Of course, it’s not just about fun, as you’ll continue to improve your Italian at the same time. For this reason we recommend that you speak as much Italian as possible, even if you and your friends speak the same language. Spend some of your time talking with the team of Italiano in Riviera and, if you have decided to stay with your family, take advantage of this opportunity.
At Italiano in Riviera we offer a wide variety of activities to be carried out during your free time, so that, during your stay, you can know and benefit from everything that the beautiful island of Sardinia offers you.
Every Monday, in correspondence with your first day of class, the school staff will accompany you to discover the wonderful city of Alghero. Along the way you will visit the most characteristic and significant monuments, and at the same time you will discover the origins and historical facts that have affected the city. In addition, you will be given all the information you need for your stay in Alghero, such as where to taste typical dishes of Sardinian cuisine.
We organize for all our students the screening of Italian films with Italian subtitles, to train the language in a fun and enjoyable way.
One evening a week, Italiano in Riviera organizes an outing with the students to have an aperitif together at sunset or have dinner tasting tasty typical dishes, such as “Pizza al Metro”, Fainé (a dish of Genoese origin made with chickpea flour) or focaccia. But it doesn’t end there… the movida calls! The evening could go on, why not, until late at night in the clubs and bars of the city.
Have you booked an Italian course of at least two weeks? That’s great!
We will then have the opportunity to meet one afternoon to move together on an excursion to discover sensational places such as the nuraghic village of Palmavera, the beach of the Torre del Porticciolo, the majestic cliff of Capo Caccia, or the enchanting view of Foradada Island.
At the end of each course, we organize a small party to greet you, and give you the certificate of attendance to our courses. Music, laughters, anecdotes and sweets typical of Sardinia.
In collaboration with several bookstores in the city, we offer our students the opportunity to attend the presentation of books by Italian authors, and take part in seminars on history and archaeology.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. White sand and crystal clear sea. A paradise just 45 minutes from Alghero.
Visit to the capital of the province where, on August 14, crowds of tourists flock to participate in the “Discesa dei Candelieri”, a holiday declared a World Heritage by UNESCO.
Wonderful historic town located in the north of the island, famous for its castle and the view of the crystal clear sea.
During your stay, do not miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful park of great natural interest: you can admire an extraordinary flora and fauna, through a relaxing walk or moving into the park with comfortable shuttle buses (service fee).
Very successful activity among our students. Tasting of excellent wines in a relaxed environment, where you will appreciate the wide variety of wine products of our region.
Direct visits exclusively to discover important archaeological sites near Alghero, including the Necropolis of Anghelu Ruju, the Nuraghe Palmavera and the pre-nuraghic complex of Monte d’Accoddi.
Starting from the fantastic beach of Mugoni, we will discover part of the coast of Capo Caccia. Why not take advantage of it for an aperitif with a view of Foradada Island? Bathing and fun guaranteed.
A wonderful excursion that will give you the opportunity to admire the beauty of our sea and, on hot summer days, to take a refreshing dip in its clear waters. Hours of relaxation under the sun, after an intense morning of study.
You cannot miss the opportunity to admire the beautiful seabed of Alghero. It’s no coincidence that we’re on the Riviera del Corallo!
