Alghero has its own international airport (www.aeroportodialghero.it) with frequent connections to various Italian and European cities.
The city center is easily reachable from the airport in about 15 minutes by car by taxi or bus (about 2.50 € for the bus).
The north of Sardinia is, however, well connected with the whole of Europe through the international airport of Olbia, which is just over an hour and a half from Alghero and which boasts almost daily connections with Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Great Britain, France, the Scandinavian countries, Russia and several other European countries. From Olbia airport there is a direct connection to the city of Alghero by bus, thanks to the multi-day service provided by the company Sun Lines (www.sunlines.it) at a cost of about 20 €.
Moreover, you can also get to Alghero thanks to the state railways (www.trenitalia.it) even from the international airport of Cagliari in about 3 hours after making a stopover in Sassari.
